Rev Camp 2011
403 campers. 84 salvations. 45 baptisms. Revolution Camp was incredible this year. The food was amazing, the games exciting, the worship powerful, the preaching challenging, and the leadership strong. There are countless testimonies of how God met with and impacted students’ lives at each of our camps.
Our theme was all about how God’s kingdom is completely upside down from the kingdom of the world. At both the morning and evening chapels the students were challenged and encouraged to live their lives in a way that reflects God’s upside down kingdom. When God encountered us, breakthrough took place. Walls that sin had created in people’s lives were torn down, strongholds were overcome, hardened hearts were made soft again, and the Spirit was poured out on the youth. Many experienced freedom from the weight of sin, heard God’s voice speaking to them, and caught a vision for God’s kingdom advancing in our communities. It is exciting to see a generation of young people rising up with a vision for the lost.
I was speaking with one student who, after attending various camps in the past, said that this camp experience was unlike any other. He mentioned that among the students attending Revolution there is a deep desire growing in their hearts to see their friends and communities encounter Jesus. Camp was an exciting time for our youth ministry but we are also ready for the next season of growth and maturity.
We believe as a ministry that God wants to use us, that we have the potential, and that our time is now.
