Rev Camp 2010

This year at Revolution Camp CLA’s youth, young adults, and pre-teens dared to ask what if. Over the three camps young people’s lives were absolutely transformed. Read below for a glimpse of the Rev Camp experience:

After a trip on the magnificent BC Ferry it was time for unpacking suit cases and laying out sleeping bags. Much thanks to the heroic Mama York, each morning campers would rise to the aroma of bacon filling the island air.  Team spirit and competition arose as campers were assigned to a specific color team, participating in various games and events that would win their team points. In addition to team games Last Camper Standing was introduced this year at Teen Camp. This novel competition tested endurance, hand and eye coordination, the stomach, strategy and puzzle skills. The victorious Timothy Rowe was the champion this year. Tim took home an ipad, a gift certificate to Metropolis Center, tickets to upcoming Revolution Events and the pride of winning the very first Last Camper Standing triumph. Also at Teen Camp, Team Yellow will have their name engraved on the legendary RevCamp Cup. The excitement carried into PreTeen Camp and with much effort and loud cheering, the Purple Team took home the gold. Amidst the fun and excitement the question what if continued to be asked. In the mornings and the evenings, campers had the opportunity to dive into worship and the teaching of God’s word taught by speakers from California and Vancouver Island. There were countless first time decisions for Christ, forty six baptisms and over fifty miraculous healings. This year at RevCamp, the What if questions campers asked, were answered. Praise God!
